Titel: Which Callilepis? => Callilepis cf. nocturna
Beitrag von: Raffaele Falato am 2021-07-16 19:26:52
Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, Southern Italy.

Discovery date: July 15, 12 noon, sunny and warm.
Habitat: 700 m - in the litter of dead leaves, at the edge of a road in an oak forest.
Dimensions: 6 mm.

Good evening.

First of all, I hope that at least the forum community has not been harmed by the storm that hit Central Europe.
The images I've seen on TV are terrible, and unfortunately all of us Italians know how destructive the power of water is.

Is it possible to determine the species of this female Callilepis, despite the bad photos of the epigyne?
It is disheartening, I can clearly photograph a 1 mm spider but not an epigyne.  >:(
Thanks.

The single atrium makes me favour nocturna but it's difficult without seeing the internal structures.

Thanks Simeon.

Callilepis (cf.) nocturna, the most common species.
Or do you think that's better Callilepis sp.?
