Ciao Antje,
this genus of spiders is common in Italy.
I distinguish the 3 species also present in Germany in this way:
E. angulatus> light legs with dark rings;
E. truncatus> femurs and tibias I, II and IV completely dark;
E. maculatus (sorry,  maculipes)> femur IV with central (or almost) dark ring.
Hope this key can be useful to you.

Greetings.
Raf

How do you separate maculipes from algiricus, Raffaele?

There are btw. other traits to separate maculipes in Central Europe - elevated ocular area and a pale sternal line.

Simeon, I only referred to the German species, I also wrote it.

Maybe you meant: how does angulatus separate from algiricus, right?
