Small Alopecosa look a like => Thanatus sp.
« am: 2019-04-04 08:52:19 »
This spider I found in Santa Cruz, Tenerife. It is a fast runner and it was between dry grass in a very dry habitat.
It was common in that place.
The spider has a body length of approx. 5mm
It looks like a small Alopecosa sp.

Best regards

Hmm, not good. Too much focus on the stripe on the body  :o

It will be a Thanatus sp.
I find observations of these 3:  Thanatus arenicola, Thanatus fabricii or Thanatus vulgaris.

Hard to say. I think you have to be precautious with Thanatus in the southern regions. I'm pretty sure there are some undescribed species as well.
