Acantholycosa lignaria? <=
« am: 2019-11-02 09:38:59 »
I've found this spider in Eskilstuna, Sweden. In a pine forest.
Date : 29-05-2019
I think this is Acantholycosa lignaria but a second opinion is welcome.

Best regards

Seems correct. Did you find the spider directly on wood? Eskilstuna is located nearly at sea level, right? Both and the habitus excludes all other Acantholycosa (A. norvegica/norvegica sudetica are open land species/inhabitants of screes, A. pedestris is only recorded from the E. Alps)

Hey Tobias, I found it directly on wood. On a cut down tree. Also a lot of rocks in that area. Eskilstuna is nearly at sea level. (0-50m)

Ah ok, yes, that's the typical habitat of the spider (dead wood). Nice finding.
