Drassodes sp.? <=
« am: 2020-02-05 20:40:12 »
Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, southern Italy.

Discovery date: January 8, 2020, around 13:00.
Habitat: 800 m - under a stone, in the countryside.
Dimensions: 1 cm or slightly more.

Greetings from Italy.
I found this spider by raising a stone in the ground. All around, sparse and low vegetation, rubble and debris (as seen in the photos).
I think it is a specimen (adult female?) of Drassodes, due to the non-circular posterior median eyes and the cylindrical spinnerets not close to each other.
If my identification is correct, can we get to the species?
Thank you.
Raf

Thanks Simeon.
There is little for the species to do, is there?

I know, Simeon. Moreover, 11 species are recognized in Italy.
But I try anyway, maybe you experts can catch a small detail that eludes me.
All my esteem.
