Female of Linyphiidae => Lepthyphantes sp.
« am: 2020-07-01 13:37:37 »
Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, southern Italy.

Discovery date: 4 and 5 January 2020, 13:00.
Habitat: 800 m - in the cellar of my house.
Dimensions: about 4 mm or a little more.

Hi everyone,
is it possible to identify this female of Linyphiidae?
I don't think I've already published similar copies, but if so, please forgive me.
Thank you.
Raf

Hi Raf,

as you always encourage me to post my guesses, here it is: Lepthyphantes (minutus?)
The dark pattern of the opisthosoma, the underlying white spots, the striped legs, the shape of the prosoma and the tendency to live close to houses makes ist a reasonable candidate.

I´m really curious of the final result.

Best regards
Jutta

I agree on Lepthyphantes s.str., possibly the same as the subadult male from the other post.

Okay, no species.
Too bad, but I'm fully aware of the reasons for the determination.
At least now I have a precise card of this spider.
Thanks and greetings from southern Italy.

@Jutta. No fear!  ;)
