It would be great to collect some material like this. Sicilly is not that well known when it comes to arachnids, and a very large number of species is still to be discovered, both described and probably also undescribed. Currently, from what I know, there is an active researcher at the University of Palermo interested in spiders, maybe we can start a "collaboration triangle", with voucher specimens eventually desposited in an Sicillian collection.

Tobias is already collaborating with the Palermo researcher you are talking about (at least I think we are talking about the same person), I have already reported ten new species for Sicily and I have only recently started. The specimen posted was a photo I had in the archive which I wanted to name. I also created a photographic section on my site concerning the arachnids present in Sicily, they are almost all determined by microscopic examination of the genitals. At the moment only photos but I plan to upload also the references regarding the Sicilian area.
