Pardosa in the grass <=

Gorgoglione, Province of Matera, Basilicata, Southern Italy.

Date of discovery: December 16, morning, sunny.
Habitat: 800 m - meadow in front of an oak forest, in the low grass near a rotten wooden beam.
Dimensions: about 5 mm.

Good morning.
I have never met this type of Pardosa before.
Is it possible to assign it to at least one group?

I am getting proxima vibes here but it is subadult so the colouration of the front femora may not be evident; it could be of course tenuipes, too, or another similar species (cribrata?)

You're right; Pardosa sp. sub-adult, therefore.

Next spring (I think it is the best time for this genus) I will try to capture some adult specimens, even of the type I see most, to find out which species populate this area.
Maybe with the help of "someone with a good heart" who takes care of the ID.

If you like, you can send some of your Pardosa to me. I am currently working on the tenuipes/proxima distribution in Central Europe. However, I would not keep all material in Germany, but would also return vouchers to museums in Italy (Bergamo for example).
